WAVE CAMP 2021 – PETERSBURG – WEST VIRGINIA

Registration
The wave window at W-99 is owned by Larry Stahl and he will be wanting both pilot Certificate number along with ship’s N-number. Pilots interested must register using the following link by Friday 1/15/2021 https://forms.gle/BUaUfY7LFnVUeYSq6
PGC Club Ship
PGC board approved taking the club Discus B7. Pilots will have to pay a small fee ($10 to be confirmed) for each flight. Flights will have to be logged on PGC system after the wave camp.
Tow Plane
Masa have agreed to let us use their tug this year. We almost certainly will be following Masa’s launching and towing procedures.
Organization
There will be more information concerning procedures and costs as they become available. In past years, there have been registration fees like 20 or 25 dollars for the camp, a sign in sheet with a pretty comprehensive handout package.
Requirements
PGC pilots will have to be checked out on B7 by a PGC Instructor and need to have XC experience. Pilot will have to bring their respective information to the airport management as they may be requiring it. A briefing and adherence will be expected before any launching will commence. This will be available on site.
Lodging
There are 3 options for lodging in Petersburg W Va. Camping at the field has been available with showers, The Park Motel and also the Fort Hill Motel also in town.
