Field Duty

PGC is an all volunteer organization. We need everyone to pitch in to make it work. Most new members start off as Assistant Field Managers. Every member is expected to perform field duty at least three times a year. Tow Pilots and Instructors are exempt. (But then, they put in many many more hours than three day a year, remember to thank them! )

The session is broken up into three sessions. You are expected to have field duty at least once each session. We have an online scheduling system, where you can select up to three preferred dates each session. The Field Manager coordinator will attempt to assign you ONE of those dates. If you do not select preferred dates the coordinator may assign you ANY date.

Once you have been assigned a date it is your responsibility to be there at 8:00. Failure to do your assigned field duty can result in a $100 fine. If you can not make your field duty day it is your responsibility to find someone to fill in for you. The Filed Manager coordinator may be able to help, but it is your responsibility.
