Wednesday Forecast, Three Day Outlook

Following another day of smoke we will see a decent frontal passage later today which should deliver three days of good soaring.  The NWS went so far as to comment that “Thursday could be the nicest day of the summer so far”.  With the caveat that there is still a decreased chance of some smoke haze on Thursday, the day looks likely to provide good soaring, possibly also the best of the summer so far (low bar).  Dramatically lower surface DP’s will make for comfortable ground operations and high bases – as much as 7,000 ft T/F/S.

Today is again going to be troubled by smoke, and could end early PM with rain and possibly severe tstms.   Prior to any rain, cloud base is not likely to be much over 3,500 ft.
